Who is bobby bones dating
Bones helped promote The Bull’s plans on Twitter, posting, “I’ve stayed out of this.
It’s been a bit of a wild ride at CBS Radio “New Country 105.1” KNCI Sacramento.
Lindsay Ell made a big production about keeping her industry boyfriend a secret until earlier this year when the big reveal was …
She was dating DJ and Country Countdown star Bobby Bones!
“It’s frustrating to me because I feel like it shouldn’t matter what a guy or girl [does] in their free time; that shouldn’t affect their business.”Bones was more forthright in his reaction to the Friday (June 16) snub, calling out “Chad”—presumably CBS Radio Sacramento VP/Programming Chad Rufer—during a ten-minute segment on his show Monday (June 19), according to Billboard.
“If you haven’t heard, my girlfriend, but also artist, Lindsay Ell was basically kicked out of a radio station because she was dating me,” Bones said.
The station in question, KNCI (105.1 FM), is owned by CBS, a competitor of Sacramento’s the Bull (92.5 FM), which is owned by i Heart Media.
“And that’s what drives me absolutely mad, that she’s punished for that.”Bones believes it’s actually a more deep-rooted discrimination against female country artists in the industry.
“This is just another example of a select group of radio programmers—not all of them—looking for any reason not to play female artists,” he said on his program.
(L-R) Radio personality Producer Eddie, singer Lindsay Ell, and radio personality Bobby Bones attend the 2017 Daytime Village at the i Heart Country Festival, A Music Experience by AT&T at The Frank Erwin Center on May 6, 2017 in Austin, Texas.
“New Country 105.1” KNCI Sacramento apologized Friday evening after its decision to cancel a listener appreciation appearance by Lindsay Ell prompted a wave of protests on social media.
